Who Are You?

Last month's webstats recorded over 1,000 unique visitors to the website. Most were direct links from websearches or to the site. What I'm trying to find out is how many of you visiting the site actually have an active interested in MDID, that goes beyond free downloading?

So far the label activity on the new record is slow, though I have many more yet to try. So, how many of you would actually purchase directly from the website if that was available?

Thanks

A full throated, hearty, overflowing with sarcasm thanks to all you who voted blood red on Nov 2, though I doubt any of you are reading this, unless it's by mistake. Here in our little bubble in Chapel Hill, the troops voted 67% for clear blue sanity, and I must say I am embarrassed for my old home state fumbling the ball, as they usually do when a championship is within reach. The homey's in Cle also went blue, but it was not enough to punch through to the end zone.

To all you Bush supporters, just to show that I am not one of those Democrats who will refuse to reach out "across the aisle", I have nothing but high hopes for you over the next 4 years.

I sincerely offer you best wishes on managing your upcoming teen daughter's pregnancies. Who was that guy anyway? Probably some liberal. I'm sure that President Bush will increase funding for halfway homes next year.

I also wish the best of luck to your college age sons and daughters, who no doubt will give their 100% effort overseas in memorable battles in Baghdad, Damascus and Tehran. I sincerely hope that they return unharmed, or at least with some kind of awards for their injuries. Maybe 20 years from now they'll be famous too when their fellow soldiers call them cowards who didn't really earn their awards. Won't it be fun seeing the details of the service rehashed on TV?

Best of luck taking care of that sick gay nephew, you know, the one your sister disowned, now that his partner can't visit him in the hospital, or take care of his business. Make sure you bring him baskets full of the Lord's love to help replace his loneliness. Maybe you will be able to finally heal his homosexuality before he dies.

After you make the mortgage and car payments, your real estate taxes and prescriptions for Grandma, and your tuition for your other daughter who's not in the army, and of course, your weekly tithe, I sincerely hope you find the extra few thousand to salt away in your new health savings accounts. I know from experience that unexpected knee surgery can be a real drain on the budget!. You know you can't count on much from suing that doctor that messed up your other leg last year. At least he wasn't forced out of business over those nasty malpractice premiums. I'm sure he'll do a better job on your other knee.

Speaking of Grandma, hope she can make it another few years to get that social security. She was so close. But you know how we needed that social security money for missile defense. Grandma can get by another few years. Oh and aren't you in that new SS mutual fund now? I was shocked to see the fund manager brought up on charges last week. Geez, can't they get someone responsible to run these things? Well, look on the bright side, now that the retirement age is 75, you've got another 10 years to put money into the thing.

So really, best of luck and congratulations on being the winners. You now have all the power to make all the changes in America that you've ever wanted to make, and I know you'll do the right thing.
