The number 43
Ok, father's day coming up. Today would have been my dad's 89th birthday. This song, 43 Candles, is another that did not make the cut for Divided House. Written around the same time last year, it was based on thoughts similar to those I'm having today, the ultimate weirdness of realizing I am the same age as my father was when I was conceived, and that if I manage to make it as long in the world as he, I am 64% done with this life. 43 Reasons not to waste any more time.
